Bush declares war on social security

From an AP story today... It's now official; our commander in chief is really, totally super-serious about Social Security reform. Today the administration announced they have set up a "war room." Look out AARP!

But, buried in the article was something... a bit odd. Maybe it's just me.

"The uber purpose is to centralize and coordinate the administration's public affairs and communication activities," said chief Treasury spokesman Rob Nichols. "Standing up this office demonstrates how important fixing Social Security is."

"Uber purpose?" I think Mr. Nichols gives away too much, and I can't help but think of Dr. Strangelove. Mein Führer! I can walk!
